I swear the grass grew an inch overnight. I ain't cutting it more than once a week. I don't care if it looks like a jungle. It's not like I live in a nice suburban plan or the city. None of my neighbors cut theirs anymore than me.

Lol. I cut mine 2 or 3 times a week, otherwise it clumps up and looks like crap when I cut. I don't bag.

Its actually been pretty dry around here. Grass was still pretty darn thick. All my shrubs and stuff have taken off like mad. I gotta get the chainsaw out instead of my gas hedge trimmer

Morning all! Finally did my lawn last evening, I'm sure the neighbors loved me mowing at 8:30. Storms were crazy last night - the cat was freaking out!

:pccoffee:  PA peeps/wannabes/storm chasers. We had the boomers roll through earlier this morning. I guess this is the line of storms that wreaked so much havoc in the midwest. If so we lucked out. Sun is forcing it's way through the haze now.

I mowed yesterday afternoon, glad I did too. Looks like we're in for a series of wet days.

    Afternoon everyone,

    On behalf of @HomerTaco:

Today I received word that Homer's dad passed away, last week Homer and I had talked after an old partner of mine transported his dad for some medical issues. He was stable, but I just got off the phone with Homer and regrettably, he informed me that his dad passed on today. I'm reaching out to as many people as I can on TW to let them know, but since this is our "home" thread, there will be a few more details here.

Homer is currently working on getting the dates finalized, for the memorial service, funeral, and post-service arrangements (likely at Maggio's in Southampton).

Once he reaches back out with the finalization, I will post them here. I've already reached out to a few mods to help spread the word. If you know of a thread beyond this one and the ones I'll list out below that Homer frequented, please let me know.
    1. PA thread
    2. NJ thread ?
    3. 40 + year old
    4. Grill Threads?
    5. Leggo thread
    6. Cigar Thread.
Edit: MtGirl with the kind asssist of what I was trying to relay:

I find it funny that both my shepherd and boxer are absolutely terrified of the vacuum and thunder have zero effects on them.

I take it in next Tuesday for them to strip the bed down and look at the frame. Definitely feeling more bounce in the rear end than before the accident. Ugh.

After nearly 30 years living elsewhere for work, I am finally moving back to the Pittsburgh area. We are currently in the process of building a new house in McCandless, and should be fully relocated in about a year. I'm looking at all of the businesses in that area to replace the ones we've gone to here for years.

Can anyone recommend a good shop for classic car repairs, mods, and inspections in the Pittsburgh area? I do most of my own work, but occasionally need help with larger issues. I guess I'm also going to have to deal with annual inspections now too. I had a great shop just down the road here in Dublin that I could trust with my baby, but haven't been able to find one over there yet. Good shops are worth their weight in gold, and I like to support local small businesses when possible.

    Any help is appreciated.
