I get the occaisional hawk from the group by Lehigh University, and as far as I have seen, they only eat what they kill. Crows and Turkey buzzards often clear the roads around here as long as the road pizza is still juicy. As for dead snakes, more than likely an opossum or skunk (the juveniles are not as aromatic as the adults, with the adults perceptable to a half mile), as they like reptiles.

If it is the rear, check the torque on the U-bolts, they usually loosen this time of year. I actually had the right rear spring pack pin jump out of the perch hole about ten years ago.

Eesh that sounds like no fun. I'll retorque them anyways but it seems like it's coming from the front. It's very hard to tell... Thinking either LCA bolts, front swaybar, body mounts, or maybe now the ubolts.

Two things in Pennsylvania that need to be put out of their misery are state-run liquor stores and annual vehicle inspections. My mom's Nissan Murano had the windshield replaced, and it is apparently illegal to transfer stickers onto the new windshield, so off to the mechanic I go to get new ones...

do you actually have to pay for a new inspection/sticker? I was under the impression you kept the broken bit from your previous windshield as proof.

Unfortunately u need to purchase "replacement " stickers. They cost less but still an expense.

I wish the rock would have hit my mom's windshield in August, September, or October. That way it would have just needed new stickers anyway; I don't have a problem with the safety inspections, but the emissions testing is a crock of shit...

All you have to do is go to the inspection station where it was done and pay $4 for the new stickers and they'll right them in the state book that new stickers were made for the new windshield. Not difficult at all.

They outlawed that years ago because too many people would just cut out good stickers from junkyard vehicle windshields.

It's only $2 per sticker for replacement, if you're in a county without emissions than it's only $2.

Well, there are no u bolts in the front that i recall. I have had squeakly upper bushings as well as the dreaded siezed lca bolts, so i order a fresh pint of anti seize every year and use it on any threaded connection as well as on through bolts for bushings. When they replaced the frame i supplied a fresh bottle to the Yota dealership with specifi instructions that every bolt get slathered, and they seem to have complied. It was Koch on 33.
The only other squeak i get up front is the Driver coil spring lower perch, where the crud collects. I do wheel my truck so I am sure there is plenty of muck all over the place.

Damn, that shop robbed you. Mine only charged $2 for each sticker. They had to write down the old sticker info and current info in their state ledger logs.

When did you last have it done? I have been going to this shop for years and they have generally cut me deals, and I think that inflation played a role. The same place charges me and my parents about $50 per vehicle for emissions and safety, which is lower than most shops...

Same shop I've taken it to for inspections since I bought it new in 2013. I think it was a year and a half ago.

I've done alot of windshields for Pennsylvania drivers. I always told them your state doesn't like cut off stickers. In jersey we can save the stickers without ruining them. Unfortunately Pennsylvania was smarter than jersey cuz when you try to remove your stickers, they instantly destroy.
