My damn new snake just bit me. Than himself idiot wrapped up on his own body. Not a very bright snake. Kinda sucks cause my other 4 don't bite. Than I adopt a snake that was never handled and he's a biter. Was trying to put water in his bowl Than I was like is this asshole biting me. Didn't feel it at first. Thankfully they have short fangs.

Haven't had that issue in about... 2 months? LOL. I remember back in May when I was mowing almost twice a week.

Good morning PA. I was going to cut the grass today but we had rain yesterday and overnight so I guess I'll wait until tomorrow. I like doing it in the morning.

Had a left inguinal hernia repaired back in 2002. Not too big of a deal but I was younger then.

Worst part of that for me was when i went to my regular doctor to get looked at and he determined it was indeed a hernia. I had ridden my Buell, the bike in my avatar, to the appointment and on my way home roughly 200 yards from my house I hit a deer with that bike and crashed. One week later I have the surgical consult and go see that doctor and as expected get the "drop your pants" command. That doctor was not expecting the wonderful rainbow of colors on both of my hips and thighs from a motorcycle accident.

For me the pain wasn't awful and I have a known low tolerance. Meds for the first week, then just OTC stuff as I recall. Was off work for 6 weeks, lifting restrictions for a little while. Worst part was first bowel movement after because they don't want you straining at all and a lot of pain meds will constipate you. Mobility was .....well it took some time after it healed before certain things were comfortable. Certain ways I would stretch I could feel a pulling sensation. Couldn't do any push ups for a long time because I could feel it where the repair was made and while it didn't actually hurt it was unpleasant so I learned to avoid certain actions or motions. Now, roughly 20 years after I couldn't tell you I ever had a hernia.

Yea, being shut down again is going to suck. I'm used to moving everyday. The doctor said he's going to go in thru the belly button to repair that Hernia and use the robotic arm to go down to the groin to repair that Hernia. "Two for one, no need to make an incision from below", he said. I don't take the pain meds they usually give you after the second day because they've never done anything for me. I usually use Naproxin and OTC stuff after surgeries and injuries. My pain threshold is high though with age it's getting lower. LOL

My pain tolerance is the opposite, gotten better as I age.

I had arthroscopic knee surgery at 22-23 years old. Week or so after operation go for a follow up and the doc is manipulating my leg checking range of motion etc. Asks if I had any issues after the operation and I told him the only thing I noticed was for the first couple of days it felt like my front teeth got knocked loose and it was hard to chew. He laughed and tells me I was the worst patient he'd ever had for low pain tolerance. Under anesthesia I had gnawed through the airway they had down my throat and they had to pry my mouth open to insert a new one.

I hate that it is just after 10 p.m. and all I can seem to think about is a cheeseburger.

I suppose there are worse things to crave late in the evening lol
