    Can't be any worse than running the window ac units tho. My house is old built in 1892 so the whole house is run on window units.

    It's waaaay worse. 1300sqft 1951 ranch house built by a guy that probably didn't understand insulation. To be fair the R value only came about 6 years earlier in 1945 and like 6 miles away from the house at PSU LOL. My January bill was $465 with keeping the house at 62°. My bill last month was $115.

    Different habits to be fair because I don't air condition the whole house. Just the bedroom at night, the living room when we're in it, and the one hallway type room for the cat. Have a window unit in the garage too but I rarely use that. Most of the time I'm lying on the concrete floor anyways so it's cool.

    It's all electric heat :bananadead:
    I'm very jealous of you guys with heat pumps... What's your average summer/winter bill?

    Yeah my summer bills are bigger even though I have a heat pump. When combined with my propane use (which is quite inexpensive), the winter bill is probably more.

    Summer bill is not fun. Close to the 500$ range. Winters not terrible at all. I'm 3rd generation my grandparents owned the house than my father now me. My grandparents bought the house in 1958.
