Keystone State Thread

So snow fall total 2.5in of heavy wet snow. Just got done with the driveway and sidewalks. Neighbor was out there so we teamed up did mine than his. No words needed to be spoken we knew the assignment. He doesn't speak English and I don't speak Spanish. Mutual agreement. Got shit done.
The side street my driveway leads to is a solid sheet of ice township does that. The front of my house sits on a county road blacktop no ice. My town has always sucked with salt speading.
County on the other hand don't f around they have always been good with the roads being clean and clear.

 

Just cleared the truck off. Well most of it anyway. 2 inches of snow. No problem. 1/4 inch of ice under the snow ...problem. Sprayed deicer and scraped. Ready to go if I need to go anywhere tomorrow. One of the neighbors shoveled the front sidewalk while it was still snowing. I clean it up in the morning.

About 6" of snow and ice here. Everything that was snow before it rained compacted, froze to ice and than it snowed 3-4" inches on top of that and now it's been snowing ice crystals for the last 5 hours. This week should be fun.

 

Morning all, have the day off so headed outside soon to clear the driveways yet again, 4th time, but looks like an inch or so. luckily no ice like you guys have. Then Home depot , Sams club then moms to dig her out. Enjoy all and be safe.

Looking out the window, it appears the roads are in pretty poor shape. Looking at the PA511 web cams the interstates are good, but my road is not. I guess they'll be out later to start the clearing process. Gotta dig the truck out and head to a couple stores, not sure if that's a great idea...

 

Good morning PA. We probably got about 4 inches total, the light and powdery stuff. Swept the deck about 4 times since yesterday afternoon, so the snow wouldn't pack and turn to ice. Now, it's time to do the sidewalks and get the dog out for a brief walk. The weather guy on channel 11 said around 4:30 a.m. that it was as warm as it's going to be for the next few days.

 

Good morning all. Not too bad getting to work this morning. Biggest issue was my damned tailgate is frozen shut and I had wanted to throw something into the bed this morning. Anyone else have this issue and if so how do I fix it? I have a Bakflip tonneau cover if that makes a difference.

Morning Pa. Headed to my Dad's this am to help with snow. After finishing driveway last night, fire trucks were rolling past our house. Fatal house fire we could see it from our place, road was shut down. @Delta09 543 WSR

The scanner was going off like crazy yesterday so I eventually tuned it out and didn't hear that call.

 

Good morning. Looks like we got another 1.5" of fluffy snow last night in my neighborhood.

 

Around midnight when I took the dogs out it was freezing rain coming down. Glad I salted everything down before heading to bed
