Well this morning sucked at first but we were eventually able to get the drag cars loaded and hauled down to the convention center for the Pittsburgh World of Wheels Car Show. Went out to start the truck and it was slow to crank but started (Pep Boys battery probably 4-5 years old, not sure. Might be older, need to replace sooner than later.) Got over to the first pick up for the White Regal. Free spooled the synthetic rope down the 45° angle driveway that was completely snow and ice covered. Turn the battery switch on for the winch and got a couple clicks, tried a couple more times, nothing. I just charged the battery yesterday so I knew that was good. Plugged in the wired remote and tried again, couple clicks. Pulled on the synthetic rope some while hitting "In" got a couple clicks and finally it started to pull (winch was frozen). Was able to winch the Regal up the driveway onto the trailer. Go to open my toolbox to grab the tire straps out. Lock turns but the handle wouldn't budge. Mechanism was completely frozen inside the toolbox. Finally with rocking the lid side to side and messing with the handle we were able to get the lid open only to find the toolbox encased in snow ( I guess i need to replace the weatherstripping) snow found it's way in under the lid and froze everything. Hauled the Regal to he show.

Round two: went back to south hills to a different garage to pick up his Malibu Drag car. This was alot easier considering it was a running, driving turbo'd LS car so he just drove it out and onto the trailer.

Pick up on Sunday night after the show is over is a BITCH though because it's "sit and wait hours in a lines of trucks with trailers of dipshits who can't back, judge or even make a simple turn with a trailer ". This year is going to be even more fun considering I have two vehicles to haul out. I think I'm going to go down early and "try" to get close to first in line to get the Regal out since it's open header and can't be driven in the convention center. Haul the Regal to his house, head back and have him meet me downtown somewhere with the Malibu to load away from the convention center.

My girlfriend and I stopped at the Wawa on Butler Avenue in Chalfont and this happened right after we got there. The silver Grand Cherokee was gassing up when the cop car came in hot with its lights on at maybe a little after 3:30. There were at least two people in the Jeep from what I could tell, and the driver was cooperative. The Jeep had minor body damage but a lot of it all over the vehicle, and it appeared to have illegal window tint; I took these pics a little before 3:40…

Amanda stayed in the truck so I could leave it running and power the dashcam, and when I came back out nothing had happened; I moved so we have a better view. New Britain Township LEOs have always been really cool as long as Amanda has lived here, at least in the sense that they’ve never pulled me over, even during the holidays when my truck is turned into a rolling 2-ton Christmas tree. I took these two pics at 3:46pm, and you can see damage to the front of the Jeep; I was thinking that maybe the driver was involved in a hit and run…

The driver of the Jeep definitely got a ticket, but whatever law he broke must not have been too serious and all of his paperwork must have been in order because he was allowed to leave…

My mom does not drive much; just to give you an idea, my dad’s 2018 GMC Yukon SLT has over 70K miles (I forget the exact mileage) and my truck is quickly approaching 213K. My parents bought the 2013 Nissan Murano in September 2014 with less than 12K miles on it, and I believe that it now has 51K miles.

Anyway, my mom hasn’t driven the Nissan since before the snow, and this icicle has not melted; I took this pic yesterday at 5:25pm…
