Good luck. here's to a good pour. Speaking of which, my grandson went to the county vo-tech for a tour last week. After checking out several options, he chose masonry over HVAC, welding and electrical. I would have preferred the latter, as I told him all these trades are bust ass but masonry is especially bust ass. He was torn between masonry and HVAC but he said he hit it off better with the masonry instructor, who was more hands on and excited for the profession. Also, the man told him there are plenty of openings for their union. And his buddy from school was doing the same trade, so he will have a pal that he has known since he was in kindergarten. They went to the same elementary school, wrestled together for a few years and have even been on vacation together. There's also another kid from his wrestling team, a year older, who is already in the program. I'm just happy he's motivated to do something. God knows he hates school work

Glad to hear he is motivated, and yes that is hard physical work and most times seasonal . He may change his mind 5 times before he's done. But best of luck to him, keep us posted.

Yeah, I mentioned that to him. This program does brick, block, concrete, tile, glass block and marble. I'm not sure about stone. It's officially called masonry/bricklaying.

Good to hear he choose any trade. Back in my high school days teachers preached you won't go anywhere without a college degree. Many of us Vo-Techers proved them wrong.

My niece bf told me he wants to be a diesel mechanic which by all means is good. But told him to look into hvac/plumbing or electrical. Most full-time mechanics i know are miserable. Unless you get a good gig. My buddy was a range rover mechanic for 12yrs. Got a job for pse&g and enjoys the pay increase and all the ot. And just works on bucket trucks.

Speaking of heart attack snow. Just went outside and it's all water logged heavy snow that's getting heavier by the minute. Hopefully if/when it changes to rain it'll melt most of it before it changes back over to snow again. Because this stuff isn't melting anytime this week.

Hate wet heavy snow. Apparently getting an inch and than turning to rain today into tomorrow for my area.
