Got an email from First Energy that power came back on at 10:30am, but I was at a friends house for a spur of the moment Easter things with all my frozen stuff I wanted to keep

Looks like it actually came on around 12; glad I stuck around there longer. Aunt/grandmother over the border in Maryland and aren't expected to get power back on tomorrow at the earliest so they're bringing their fridge contents here.

Reports have been anywhere from 75-90mph winds around the area. Roofs are torn off of buildings, sheds blown apart and wrapped around trees, and one 5 mile stretch of road has 25+ downed power pole. What a freak storm!

Honestly don't know. I'm sure my brother has it figured out. I'd assume so. Just blown away how big they get in such little time.

Don't need friends when you have a winch!

Also carbide sawzall blades ALSO work great for cutting roots in dirt.

Yea I seen that post. Didn't see if they came past the house. I can only assume they're coming from Eastern PA and Jersey. I'm just glad my power is back on, but others in the county it could be Wednesday for power.

    Update.
First, thank you all for the thoughts and prayers.
We returned home today from Tijuana. The back pain is subsiding which is hopefully evidence of the tumor shrinking. We are probabaly headed back in 3 weeks for a 10 day treatment which will be the last Tijuana visit. The doctors are thinking the Whipple surgery is a foregone conclusion which we will have done in Phila, PA when the time comes.
I have a scheduled appointment at Penn Hospital 4/24 for another dose of chemo

    Morning PA :pccoffee:

Super thankful to be able to make my own coffee instead of driving to Rutter's and using their restroom and getting coffee. Some areas have restored power, but it's still a mess. The ETA for power at my aunt/gma's house has been bumped to Wednesday. They should have taken my offer to bring stuff here and spend a couple nights, but they had to be hard headed...

We just got a generac backup for the house but I've still got my old Honda (6500) and Harbor Freight special (4500) if you find yourself in a pinch in the future. Just over the PA/DE border but most days I'd be happy to meet halfway. We seem to lose power if a strong breeze rolls through so your post is all too familiar.

    Appreciate the offer! :fistbump:

This is a totally freak storm that caught everybody in my area. We were out about 14 hours. I am going to be putting a generator plug connected to my panel now after this. Just gotta move some breakers around for an interlock plate. Chances are it won't happen again, but I want to be prepared. I can handle the no power, but no water situtation is no bueno.

My aunt/gma might be out until Wednesday :goingcrazy:

That was our only complaint too, running on well water so a couple of days with no shower or flushing the john was fine for my boys and me but the wife was not a fan.

Must've been pretty isolated tho I was in the Lehigh valley and the wind died completely in the second half of the day

#1 is easy to deal with letting it mellow and the ladies throw the TP in a sealed trash can, but #2 I decided to run into town and use the bathroom at the convenience store

It started at the Southwestern most point and traveled along the PA/MD line with 75-90mph winds. It petered out around the Adam's County PA and Fredrick County MD lines.

Yikes! Yeah we wound up getting a portable chem toilet, figured we'd use it camping or otherwise even once we got the backup up and running. Definitely a comfort to have the option to hook some of those appliances up in a pinch
