Nice and cool this morning, sitting at 46° o_O

Maybe Bluey will start this morning. Last Wednesday, my first day back after vacation, the original battery from 2019 decided to nope out on the first cool morning. Little jump pack to the rescue that morning. Wasn't even mad, it was more comical that anything. Been on a charger for a couple days and it started fine Saturday morning going to work. Getting it tested today, might get the dealer to replace it, but I'm getting a new one no matter what. Not fooling around

Looks like the original battery so 6 years old. Not a bad run honestly. It has been cranking a little slow recently, but it's really hard to tell as these boxer engines always sound like a low battery starting

This battery does have 6 individual little caps to add water, which is pretty neat. They're all close to the right level, but at this point it ain't gonna make it through Fall.

I just replaced the battery in my '13 Tacoma BAJA, it was a Pepboys Champion battery from 2019. It's been struggling to start the truck recently and with putting the dashcams in i wasn't taking the chance of it leaving me stranded somewhere. Bought a bigger, stronger battery. Group 65-DLG with 850cca 1000ca and 150 reserve capacity. Terminals are reversed so I needed to move the ground cable strap to the front closer to the rad support and extend the positive cable from the fuse box, also went with a rubber strap top hold down. Autozone didn't have the correct group size battery with this high of ccc/ca/rc in stock within 70 miles so that why I said screw it and got the battery that's 1/4" deeper front to back. I could've waited for them to order one in but that's taking the chance of my battery dying and it was a last minute "fuck it" decision.

Looked outside and found a stray piece of cardboard sitting by my garbage can (how convenient...). Went out and man was it ever cool out there. Gonna have to actually put on pants today o_O

EDIT: Pants instead of shorts! I'm not leaving the house without clothes on!
