Keystone State Thread

Was out at 6:15 taking my wife to work. She works at Abington Hospital so she has to go in no matter what. This is my first year with a 4x4 truck and first major snow storm. It was like shooting fish in a barrel driving around out there. I was very impressed how well this tacoma handled. Also the new KO2s so far are excellent, going out again alittle later to see if I can get stuck some where.

Got home to Baltimore safe, told Tompson I wasn't getting stuck there all weekend with no one I know. How much snow you guys got in the philly\ bucks county area?

Somewhere around a foot in DelCo. Hard to say with all the drifts.

 

Well there's a bit more than the dusting we had last night,..

 

Ok this truck may not let me play but it's one bad ass little truck in the snow. We got 16-18 inches and 3 ft drifts and it drives better in the snow then on the beach. Just got back from pulling out 2 cars stuck in drifts. But the best part was watching the full size trucks sliding all over the place.

Almost 2 foot of snow, and my baby is snuggled up in the heated garage...lol.

 

This truck is fantastic ,Had to go from Hatboro to Jamison to help out a friend. To get into his street there was a 3ft high and 6ft wide snow plow mountain blocking the street I went right over and thru it ,then the street had just about 2ft the whole way. Awsome truck.

 

Well I got high centered turning on to an unplowed street. Didn't have enough speed to break through the packed snow that a plow truck left. The snow was 8 inches up my doors and locker,atrac just didn't do it. Maybe if I have more weight in the back The truck could have reversed out of it. Only tried for 5 mins before a guy drove by. So We broke out the tow strap. Didn't think to get a picture maybe that's a good thing.

 

It was a last second decision to go that way and 5 ft before hitting the pile of snow I knew I wasn't going fast enough to get through it.

I finished installing the aerodynamic bed cover option.

 

I hope all you guys & gals are surviving the snow! Lancaster / Manor township here....and although I can't say for sure with all the blowing....but I know we've had at least 25" of snow or more. Been out twice to clear the driveway. It's still snowing!! The taco is in the garage, nice and protected.
It'll probably get out tomorrow or Monday.

I live up in Etters and we have gotten 36 inches and it is still snowing lightly

 

Just went out to clear driveway, on untouched flat snow i measured 19"

 

We only got like 7 inches here. I cant believe I'm about to say this.......I'm jealous of all you eastern PAers!
