Just an FYI - I just had my frame replaced and after a week of driving I noticed two of the bolts were missing from the front of the driveshaft. I checked everything I could on my own and I put new bolts in but went back to the dealer and had them recheck everything for me again.

    I know the feeling......
About a couple weeks after my 07 frame was replaced, I started experiencing this LOUD clunking sound when going over bumps/turning. It was so loud, my neighbor heard it while walking her dog. Almost like something was 'shifting' when weight was takin off it (suspension).

I immediately took it into the dealership. Of course...took it for a test drive and they couldn't reproduce the problem. They kept the truck for the day anyway and checked everything.

They told me "We didn't find anything" - which is complete BS. It didn't happen ever again after that and before I sold it. I'm guessing they probably found something loose in the suspension or something and didn't want to admit to it.

But yea....it's scary knowing the truck was completely torn apart and no longer 'factor' installed. If Joe Schmoe technician has a bad day and forgets to tighten something, gets a wire loom pinched, forgets bolts/parts.

FYI - When I had my truck done - I questioned them over and over again "What kind of warranty do I have on the frame replacement? Labor work?"
I don't think anyone ever questioned them about that cuz they looked at me like I was crazy. What if?? What if.....worse case senario......brake lines are loose and blow out, and kill someone (or myself)? Needless to say....the Service Manager says....."Oh, I see your point - let me get back to you on that" - comes back 10 minutes later and says..... 1 year warranty on labor.
The wrinkle with that being...... it's not in writing.
I hope nobody experiences any issues (worse case scenarios) - but hey, you've gotta cover your bases.

Still got a few odds and ends to close up.

Gonna need a cab mount chop too, but I have enough clearance for daily driving. Gonna wait a week before I get an alignment to let everything settle in.

From what I hear everything settles in quite a bit over a week or two. The truck isint all over the road and to the eye it dosent look like I'm riding on the edges of my tires.

He should be fine. A week won't hurt anything. I have been running the same alignment from my frame swap since it's been done. Granted I don't care about tire wear at this point because I am getting new ones soon but even still I haven't noticed a drastic change in wear. I was hoping my shit would wear out faster thinking their alignment would make it happen but it really hasn't.

Toyota aligns in their specs which don't take into account doing alignments for lifted trucks. Toyota are the last people you want doing an alignment because they don't factor in lift.

If it's bad you could definiTely burn through a set of tires in a week, especially if you commute. Also why don't you just buy new tires and sell those to someone rather than hoping they wear faster? Interesting way of thinking...

Yeah if it's bad. If they align to Toyota's specs and it's not pulling crazy then he will be fine. And these tires aren't worth shit anymore. Aside from the one relatively new tire on the truck that I was forced to replace, they are going in the trash. I wouldn't be buying new tires to begin with if these weren't trash. The comment was a joke more than anything because now that I am clearanced for 35's I just want to get them as soon as possible but I am getting whatever life I can out of the ones I have right now.
