Yea they aligned it last Friday and Saturday morning it was torn apart again. It's really not bad It dosent pull or anything. Steering is a bit twitchy. I'm also having a little bit of bump steer but I think that may be more due to the 285 MTs. All in all I'm really happy with how it rides. I don't think 285s are nearly as bad as some people on this site express them to be as far as power loss and mpg. I lost probably 2.5 mpg but I also have one of the heaviest 285s you can get. Power loss isint to noticeable to me.

Main think is my brakes are absolutely terrible. I did new front rotors and pads during the lift installed, but I popped the rear drum off and there was nothing left of the shoes. Gonna replace them this weekend.

Just under 140k. The last 15k have been stop and go city traffic though.

    Just a friendly public notice:

If you do anothing to the suspension of your vehicle, or any work for that matter. Check your bolts. I heard the slightest click when tapping the brakes in my truck. Didn't think much of it. Looked under the rear and noticed the nuts to the u-bolts nearly fell off. These were just torqued to spec yesterday, and I've put about 80 miles on the truck since. No torque wrench on my right now so for now they are at German spec "gutentight". Gonna keep an eye on everything over this week and probably go over everything again this weekend.

How do stainless lines make a difference? Serious question not trying to be smart.

They don't expand like regular brake lines so the response is better when you apply pressure

They expand less meaning pressure is more constant in the line.

For now I torqued them with a 2 foot breaker bar. All my tools are at my parents house in jersey so I did what I could.

It is very noticeable on a motorcycle, I haven't experienced it in a taco

Exactly what they said about the brakes... Its just such a different feel I don't have to oush the pedal down far and its no longer spongy and actually feels like brakes

You actually are supposed to re-torque u bolts after 50 miles or so when you work on them. Glad you found it when you did before it got ugly!

So the u-bolts are tight but the clicking noise still exists. I localized it to the front of the truck, it seems to happen at low speeds, usually when braking, but not every time. also happens when reversing with no brakes applied, again not every time. finally it happens over bumps at low speeds, but not every time. my thoughts are it is either brake related or ive done some research and found out the bumper crash bar can crack and make a similar sound. i checked all the suspension bolts and shook everything i could but could not create the sound.

nah didnt reinstall that after the lift. I have to say though it is a much lighter "click" sound, dosent sound like heavy metal contact.
