    That's unfortunate.

Get a 1/4 one and swap before hitting the trail?

And there is the driveshaft shop in Jersey that will make anything you want.

A thicker tube should not make a significant difference in the balancing. Since the tube weighs more it may take a bit more weight to balance properly. I would definitely not run any driveshaft on a DD that is not balanced though. And if memory serves, all two piece shafts are balanced as an assembly.

Probably best to find help in the Pittsburgh thread? https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/pittsburgh-tw-meet.397769/page-71#post-13134075

i would be happy to help assemble, but I imagine he needs tools and other resources that I also dont have.

I just noticed this. Do you know what year Jeep? I installed one of them on my TJ and one on my old CJ. The TJ was incredibly easy and the CJ was a Royal PIA. Either way, I'd be glad to lend a hand. I'm out of town every weekend in September and the first weekend in October, but after that, I'm free.

Anybody with a dclb 2nd gen wanna do me a favor? Want to measure the rear portion of the rear driveshaft center or u joint to center of ujoint? I need the measurement to give to the shop to fix mine. I'm not sure if my measurement will be correct with my driveshaft being f'ed up.

According to this thread the driveshaft lengths vary by transmission type and year within the 2nd gens. May want to find someone with your exact truck to measure off of. That would suck to end up with a replacement that's too short. Seems like the measurements are all over the place.

No I don't want a one piece way to long the whole thing is 73.5". Yeah I forgot to add that it's a dclb 4.0 AT 4x4. May just try to stop somebody at a gas station tomorrow and measure.
