I'm really surprised how long I've made it though. I DD my truck as well. So I try to be easy but know I go full returd on the trail so figured I'd armor up for it.

FWIW I honestly don't know the size tubing used for mine. I went there & explained to them what I wanted. I gave them a used stock driveshaft I purchased from another member and they made what I needed. It was like $400 give or take but this included custom length, all new U-joints (the ones with the zerks on the outside that are easier to get to), and a brand new carrier bearing.

 

Gotcha. I tend to overkill everything. Was just wondering if 1/4" was way overkill, or if 3/16" would do the trick. Looks like stock is .077 wall, so even 3/16" is way thicker. Guess we can all wait and see if Dan fuxka up his new one!

Bottom line: this is ALL they do at RPC. Driveshafts for anything that uses a driveshaft. They do custom shit every day & making one for a taco is no big deal for them.
