Against my better judgement.... there was a significant amount of beverages. And 1 horrible Car bomb. (plastic shot glasses don't sink)

Thankfully it is me, myself and I here at work today.

I have a house in Schuylkill County, about 45 minutes North East of Hershey. Cheap houses. Not sure if the commute is worth it for you.

I will 2nd Schuylkill Co being cheap. School taxes are way cheaper too. Keep in mind Southern Schuylkill Co. is best described as " a few years behind the times".

Just what are you looking for or do you need as far as housing.

Define your idea of cheap housing ?

Mine is a nice Card board Box under a bridge

    School for the kids ??

    Just you ??

How far are you willing to commute ??

Are you Country or You need stores within walking distance

Is going to be a likely forever move or a few year project job .

I'm from Lancaster - not all that far from Hershey. How far out are you looking? What type of 'home' are you looking for?
We used to live in Hempfield township in Landisville, PA. Areas around Mt Joy are nice. Lititz, PA was voted 'best small town' in Pennsylvania (I believe).
Millersville, PA - although....stay away from the University (Millersville University). Any surrounding areas West / south / north of Lancaster city seem to be nice areas.
I can't comment on the housing market - as I'm pretty certain they're all going to be similar pending what you're looking for.
    GOOD LUCK!

No offer on the job yet, but I was contacted about the job by the company so I suppose it's a good sign.

As far as housing, it's my fiancé and I with our two dogs. No kids yet, but most likely within the next couple years. I'm not really picky, but would like a decent yard for the dogs to run. Don't want to live downtown on top of neighbors. I've always lived in a small town out in the sticks and would prefer to continue that. I haven't had any luck in my search so far though.

Thanks for the tips. I'll add them to my list to check out.

The commute might be worth it if I found what I am looking for. I don't mind being behind the times where I live. I'm pretty simple. Thanks for the advice!
