Define your idea of cheap housing ?

I don't know that I should have used the term cheap, but I have always lived in a small town where property, houses, and taxes were all cheaper than it would be for the same thing closer to the city. I'm basically just looking for where those areas are near Hershey/Harrisburg/Lancaster.

Mine is a nice Card board Box under a bridge

    School for the kids ??

No kids yet, but in the next few years likely.

    Just you ??

My fiancé and I with our two dogs. Pretty big dogs that need exercise.

How far are you willing to commute ??

If it's a good deal and what I'm looking for, Id consider a little further away, but anything more than an hour each way would be too much of a pain for me I think.

Are you Country or You need stores within walking distance

Country 100%, but land seems pretty pricey over that way. I realize I may have to compromise a little bit.

Is going to be a likely forever move or a few year project job .

Hopefully a long-term job. That's what has me so interested in it. It's a large company with lots of room for personal growth and advancement.

Sounds like my husband and I when we bought our first house (minus the dogs)!! House shopping is always somewhat frustrating!! LOL

Are you familiar with Zillow? That's a great resource to look at houses & such. If you ever come to the area to visit - there are Apps that list open houses. It's nice just to visit a home without the realtor breathing down your neck.

Something else that's good to do..... Any houses you are interested in - look at an AERIAL /Satellite view of the area. I remember we were going to look at a house until we saw the railroad tracks on the satellite view (behind the trees). Probably would've never noticed it on the ground. LOL
