I've done the Harrisburg to CO trip three times non-stop with two drivers. They only part I hated was anywhere in Kansas, just nothing to look at, set cruise and tie your steering wheel to the door handle for 6/7 hours, and try to stay awake.

. Don't stop by here or anything.

I have some land in Perry County that I would love to build either a yurt or tiny home on. That way I can practice living more of a minimalist lifestyle with the possibility of living there permanently and rent my house in the city. My biggest issue is that cell service there is crap. And there is no broadband Internet service. That makes my job difficult (web designer/graphic designer). On the other hand, there's plenty of land to figure out other ways to generate income.

I couldn't agree more with you. Kansas Nebraska and Iowa are pretty much Snore worthy

I kinda had the same feeling coming through there. Yet once in a while I'd come across a farm or something that really caught my eye. Had I not been on a highway and needing to make some time, I would have stopped to capture the scene. This Country is pretty flat between Denver and Ohio. I avoided the PA turnpike and dropped down into West Virginia and Maryland to connect with I81 and found the mountains out there are pretty damn beautiful. I need to get out there and explore that area since it's really only a few hours away.

Last time I did that drive we were too busy laughing at the "Kansas Christian Woman against $Noun" billboards.

They seem to have a club against everything.

How do you feel about roommates? If you'd be fine with roommates, I have a place for you for $600 a month plus 1/3 of utilities (about $90 a month on average). You'd have your own bathroom. No issue with the month to month rental either. It is about 7 minutes from downtown.

If you don't want roommates, I'll try to find you something.
    Hey Craig!

i would hate to do that, since its a perfectly good hood (no dents - just needs some paint/derp/etc), but depending on how long it sits in my shop, i may have to

I do but I'm selling it lol. I'm moving in with the girlfriend so my commute has changed and at this point in my life I'd rather have money to do things than money to own things so truck is leaving and I got a cheap commuter car.

For the most part. Life's good, can't complain. Too much work on my plate right now between work and buying a house but eh, it is what it is. How about yourself?

That might be a bit tough with a dog and what not but thanks for the offer. I will definitely keep it in consideration depending on how the search goes. I really appreciate your help!

Yeah. Worst part of that drive. I remember the first time I did it, saw the Colorado sign, and said wtf, it's just like Kansas. Then finally seeing the mountains an hit later was a relief.
Those farms take an hour to get to from the time you see them!!! Lol
    missed it I guess.

I'm renting my parents old house off of them for $560/month (they moved to be closer to my moms new job and my dad is on disability, so they needed to downsize). If I buy the house ($80K) it would probably be cheaper per month but the bank screwed up my credit score (740 to a 650) by passing me around a bunch of people at the bank, with each one checking it, when I was looking to buy a house when I got married 4 years ago.

Its a 25ft by 35ft 4 bedroom 2 bath with a finished attic and full basement and almost a 1/3 of an acre in my small college town. It just needs a couple things but its in pretty good shape. I just installed a new tankless gas water heater this past week.
