    We have scout stuff Sunday, and a vfw event tomorrow. I tried to talk the wife into taking a trip up to Pulaski this weekend, but forgot about that stuff. Still working on her for another weekend. I can't wait until my kid can feel the tug of a 20-40lb salmon on the fly rod.

    LMAO... that's exactly what I thought when I first went through Colorado. I remember seeing the "Welcome to Colorado" sign in the middle of the night and pushed on to Denver and got a hotel room to crash for a while. I was PISSED that Colorado was freaking flat! Then I woke up and looked out the hotel window and saw the mountains. TV and the movies make you think that Colorado is nothing by mountains, which isn't true.

    My last time out I left at 8pm from bucks county and drove through to Cabellas in West Virginia. Crashed out for about 6 hours then moved on. Drove all day Saturday and finally stopped to sleep just west of Topeka Kansas. I pulled into Denver Colorado about 2pm on Sunday afternoon.
    With some tunes and a few good cigars I'd do it again tomorrow. :cool:

    My brother and I drove 38 hours straight through to my cousin's place in Stanley, Idaho. We took 4 hour shifts driving and fueled up, bathroom and ate when we switched. Should've been about 32 but I did all the planning so everytime I went to sleep, we got off course.

    I saw 120mph in my Subaru Legacy in Kansas when I was heading west. I got passed in Kansas by a Subaru Forester doing 120mph on my way east. I think I was lucky going west. I think the guy in the Forester knows what one needs to go fast in Kansas. Police radio maybe? (Yes I did hook up and pace with him.)
