I went a few years ago. Every second car was an Impreza -- and that was just the spectators. Might be a bit of a different mix these days. I did see one of these in the flesh, which was pretty cool.

One of my old buddies had one that color and rim package. It was a nice car.

It’s the first weekend in June every year. I went from 2002-2015. Missed the last two as the kid had stuff going on those weekends.

If you want to maximize your weekend, volunteer for spectator control. You’ll get your own little corner in the woods, and can see more than the average spectator. Let me know if you are interested, one of my best friends is on the committee and runs the spectator areas. I’ll make sure you get on the squad that hops to several areas.

I’m trying my best to get up again this year.

It’s fun to watch. I believe it is the ultimate in car control. The top cars absolutely haul ass through the woods. I was hooked the first time I went up there.

Remind me in March or so. Maybe we can drive up together. My buddy would appreciate the additional help. I just have to see what’s going on with the kid at that time.

Are you sure? It's a 22B -- homolgation special, not sold (legally) in the US, right hand drive only. The one I saw was SoA's unit, had special dealer tags on it.

No it wasn’t a 22B. It was a normal 2 door impreza 2.5RS. I thought that’s what you were talking about.

I drove one one of those. Sweet car! Underpowered, because Subie wasn't bringing the turbos here yet. But really nice otherwise. A popular conversion is to take the guts from a wrecked STi and put them in one of those. They move the whole drivetrain, dash, electronics. Makes a pretty hot piece when it's all done.

I go to put my window down this morning and my finger (and the button) push right down into the door. I'd like to think I've been gentle - or at least normal - when opening and closing windows. Recommended site to find a replacement cover for this? Looks like the threads from the cover plate just decided to crap out on me. Otherwise, dealership this weekend to order a new one!

Didn't know they had that - off to pick that up at lunch then! I've never been able to figure out out to to mend broken plastic until now, aside from using a soldering iron and 'welding' plastic back together, which can be a PITA.

He should be able to just apply it to both sides of the broken parts and hold the two pieces together with some blue painters tape.
Wait 10 minutes for the stuff to cure and you’ll be able to reinstall
