Did you try listening with a pipe like in the video to pinpoint the noise.
If it's cheap enough replace both.

Hey guys. Yeah it's fixed, also installed a new belt. Now I have a trail spare just in case. I picked the correct pulley. Getting the new serpentine belt on was tougher than taking the old one off AND replacing the pulley.

I’d replace them all... lost two pullys on the way back from Moab last time. Simple enough to replace, just had to wait for the truck to cool down enough to work on it.

I should get a serpentine belt spare. I have my old pulleys, they seem to be OK for spares.

Yeah actually before I went to windrock I replaced a pulley that wasn't really bad had a tiny bit of play but couldn't feel anything and once it cooled down the play was gone but I swapped it. When I put the belt back on it must've been off a rib because it cut the last rib off the belt so I put the new one on and kept the pulley and belt as spares.

    Freaky....

I've worked in both Reamstown and Leola for most of my life. DORMA and PDQ if anyone cares.

yeah I should have done the other pulleys, but I didn't... I replaced the belt though. truck has just under 38K miles. never thought a pulley would be an issue yet.
On the topic of my grille, it came out great. I would have loved to buy one from you and support a local small business TW fellow, but I have friends who do body work and I got it done verrrry cheap. Otherwise you would have had my money. I push everyone I can towards your grilles though in an attempt to make up for making my own!!

My truck is going for the frame inspection on Tuesday morning. I am also getting the leaf spring recall done I think. The guy said he is ordering the parts for the lifted truck version of the recall, whatever that means. I hope they put my AAL back on. I highly doubt I will qualify for a new frame. When I installed all the armor, all I saw was surface rust. Toyota will most likely be coating my frame. I have seen some pictures on whatever tacoma facebook group I am on about people getting their frames sprayed. It's a shit-show of overspray everywhere. I hope this dealer doesn't do a crap job. I won't be taking the truck and will have them clean it.

I will have a loaner, hoping it a new tacoma.

I saved the "old" serpentine belt. It had zero cracks or frays or anything. it's now under my driver seat for a spare. Should I bother saving the pulley for an emergency spare? it had some play and sounded terrible.
