    I have heard the 45 has less kick back.

    Anything Springfield is good worth every penny.

    My boss suggested a Springfield xdm. I've been looking at a CZ p10c. Range has both manufacturers.

    In .45 the recoil on such a light frame is adverse for my liking. The .40 is borderline, you can still maintain center mass without too much adjusting between shots. I like my 911's for .45 but you ain't putting that in a jean pocket!

    .45 is less recoil than the .40 ? I didn't shoot them side by side so my memory might be playing tricks.

    The guy that sold me the 45 told me that in the XD series the the 45 was a better one to shoot.

    This is why @Redmann is making a smart move by trying them out personally first. It's a lot of personal preference between shooters!

    The oaks gun show is good, it's a big show with lots of stuff, not last time i was there nothing that was really a good deal.
