Need to find friend's with those skills lol. How old is it? Might need to replace sacrificial rod too. Why you think element is bad? Doesn't heat as fast or not at all?

It’s reading around 90* right now, is t going to be hot per day.
I’ll need a shower after, not before.

    This.

Not bad, but I don’t have the rigid vaccum to attach it to. Unless it’s universal or could be used as a trash pump.

Hauling water is the least of my worries. I need the exercise anyway.

Sacrificial rod? No clue what that is.

I have warm water, not hot, and is taking a while to reheat after use.

    What’s your diagnosis?

Hi Doug, when I get a problem I am not familiar with, I
watch YouTube flip on what I'm after. Helps a,lot with diagnosing and repair. Plenty of good examples.

I got tired of fixing and replacing tank water heaters. Went tankless. Spendy up front but I'll never have to clean up a leaky mess again. And, endless amount of hot water! Not that the two of use actually use that much, but it is nice for those times when there are overnight guests.

It was the bottom. Unfortunately, the tank is corroded too bad to replace the element. Nothing for the new one to seat on, top and bottom.

    Researching these now.

Issues popping up with regards to a tankless, I don't have gas, and current wiring will not support a large enough unit for us, to the best of my knowledge. I'm not going to get into all of that at this point, just getting another tanked.

Too bad there is couple hours between us. I could install a new 200 amp service on your home (licensed electrician over 30 years). Good luck.

Tankless is only worth it if you have gas. All electric houses should use tank type.
