    I bugged him about it a while back, but as he stated, there is a difference... There is another fabricator that recently made mounts for 3rd gens as well, if I'll find them, I'll link it

    That really a good idea. I've thought about putting a box in place of the spare. Gotta cut the bed though, not sure how much strength you lose. Might be doable.
