My folks lived in Sellersville when I was born, says so on my birth certificate, but in as born at the hospital in Greenlane. This may be the first place I’ve seen Sellersville written out that wasn’t my birth certificate!

It's been a long time since I posted on here. Anyone have a recommended shop to get a life time alignment from. I live in the York area and have a firestone within 15 mins but like everything on line some had bad experiences.

 

I think I spoke to him one time. Said there was some trails up near Scranton, I have to get an exact location tho.


There is a local with an overland Tacoma and I’m hitting some trails in glen Lyon

Looking for the stock sway bar mounting brackets for a 05-15 Tacoma if anyone has any laying around.

 

Also looking to trade my headlights for the stock looking chrome headlights and my color matched grille for a stock chrome grille. PM for more info.

 

I saw you on 611 today. I was driving a white 17 OR SB.....

 

Need some advice. I just installed a Pelfreybuilt front bumper about a month ago. Took the truck in for state inspection today and they told me they can not pass it due to the tires not being covered in the front of the vehicle. I can find and specs on bumpers other than total height from ground.

Has anyone here ran into the same problem?

 

Interesting.... Using same logic, would they fail a Colorado ZR-2??

I'm guessing that you mean they didn't pass the truck.
Ask them to show you the regs on why they failed it?

Page 34 of the document, Section 175.78 Chassis, part e, bumpers. I'm not going to decipher it, but that's the section that contains the language.

The inspection procedure is spelled out starting around page 36. I quickly read through it, and cannot find anything to reject your bumper because the tires aren't covered in the front. Maybe print the document out, take it with you, and ask them to point to the section that specifies to fail the vehicle if the tires aren't covered. You may want to read through it first, as I could have missed something.

That's what I was looking at but could not find anything saying the tires needed covered in the front. Mud flaps and flares is all I saw. Last year I had to get fender flares to pass now they pull this about the bumper............time to find a new shop for next year.

 

Yeah, that might be the solution.... I've been reading Mass Failed inspection thread, many shops fail people "just in case", mostly without understanding procedures/regulations... good luck
