anyone who reads or follows this and has an Access cab do yourself the solid and get the hideway sub, trust me it's worth your while...i looked for about 4 months on how to get a sub in my truck and just short of doing what one guy did and fiberglassing the little pockets on the floor in the rear there is not much i was willing to do because even though the space is small i still use it regularly, the hideaway fits under the driver seat and still allows movement back and forth when i need it, it provides enough bass to shake the rear view at 70 mph with the windows down and to me rounds out the sound nicely...also i have changed out all the speakers to kickers even the tweeters...good luck to all

I have a access cab and am having it installed today. I was going to get the Subaru tweeters but i can’t hear the high notes anyway so i won’t do that, thanks Raymond for the mounting tip. I well post how it works later today.

The KEY isn't just an amp, it's a DSP as well. I've used them in a couple builds bi-amping component speakers without a crossover. Works awesome, and the DSP handles any non-ideal speaker placement well. I even have a set with the tweeters windshield firing in a Jeep Cherokee and it handles that.

But they are really designed to upgrade stock speakers in a 4 channel setup, I would imagine they would shine in a Tacoma.

Thanks for the info. I have infinity speakers and i just ordered the kicker Subaru tweeters and i think a sub woofer in the back would be good. It sounds totally different now , much to our liking.
