Kicker 48KSS269 component install in 2007

I replaced my factory front speakers. Just a heads up on an error on Crutchfield's website for vehicle specific applications for my 2007 Tacoma non JBL. It says the woofers will not fit my front doors. After some back and forth with Crutchfield and Kicker tech help it was determined they will fit. I received the Metra mounting brackets and harness adapter from Crutchfield for the woofers. The mounting brackets for the tweeters came in the Kicker package. You have to splice the Metra harness into the inline crossovers provided by Kicker for the woofers. For the tweeters I cut the factory connector off and just spliced the inline crossovers into the factory wiring.

By the way, the Kicker package came with woofer mounting adapters as well, however
they sounded like more of a universal adapter that might require modifying so the Metra was more straight forward. Be sure to request the Metra adapters if you order from Crutchfield. They included at no charge.

I am really pleased with the upgrade. Very nice, crisp sound. I am running these off of a Sony head unit I installed a couple of years ago.
