Yes. You’ll just splice in two lengths of speedwire instead in the key harness

For selfish purposes, is anyone attempting this install in near future? i’m in corona corona and would love to buddy up with someone when the time comes! I have all the basic electrical tools and a nice garage!

    my
only concern is the sound quality with the Keys amp/dSP feature.
and it looks like they only make a 200 watt key amp now instead of the 180. might be a better amp?

So has anyone gotten reasonably decent sound out of the rear speakers without resorting to a new head unit? Considering this setup but it's really only worth it to me if it makes the rear speakers useful.

This certainly makes them useful. Bumps them up from the +/- 2watts from the radio up to 50watts from the Key

I have a 2020 TRD Sport with the 8" Screen(non JBL), I'm thinking of adding both the 200.4 and 500.1 key amps. I'll be ordering the harness from "TxxxTxxxx" and want to verify which wire kit(s) I'd need.

Do I order the 2020 "PNP AMP Harness System 77-EZAH106-03 10/6PIN Bundle", the $74 kit?

I'm somewhat confused because I believe from what I read in this thread the speakers wires are all in one connector? What is the 6 pin connector in this bundle?

I was figuring on just getting the 10pin add a subwoofer kit(~$34) that has all the speaker wiring that would go into the 200.4 channel amp, then splicing in another pair of wires into the front speaker wires for the sub into the 500.1 from the looks of it, that could be fine for all speaker connections for both amps. Am I misunderstanding something with the wiring for the 2020?

I was debating the OEM kit but figure the Kicker Key amps could possibly do just as well as them?

You should just need their “add an amp” harness. It will be long enough to allow you to put the amps anywhere in the truck. For the 500.1 you would just tap off of the front speaker wires.

No problem. Just to clarify my comment, you’ll want to tap off of the front speaker wires BEFORE the 200.4, not after it. On the input side, not the output. Hopefully that makes sense and the reason for it should be fairly clear.

    Got it, thanks.

Would this be the Add an Amp Harness ---> Toyota 10Pin add subwoofer remote turn on 77-EZWH10-4($34) ?

Because the only other kit is the $74 "PNP AMP Harness System 77-EZAH106-03 10/6PIN Bundle" in which I mentioned in my 1st post

This one? mwrood, keep me posted. I want to do same thing. I want to add line converter or tap into that harness with key amp now and a subwoofer amp at some point later down the line.

This is what you need. Don’t pay attention to the 10/6 part. Just make sure you select the 2020 ad the year. It will come with one harness (male and female). 833172EA-4741-45C4-B315-556837805E31.jpg

pocho. when are you going to install? Best buy has the 180watt key amp
    for $149. I doubt 5 watts is gonna make a difference. it’s $100 cheaper than than 50watt x4 key.

I’d get the 200.4. It has an auto tune feature which makes setting up super easy. I’m sure there’s some YouTube videos on it out there. I don’t think the 180.4 comes with that feature, but I could be wrong.

I watched the Five Star Audio Shop yt comparing the 180 to 200. Is it worth the $80 difference since the 180 is on sale, idk

mentioned they cannot tell the difference in the 5w upgrade but can hear the difference as to Clarity/detail?

    LOL!

I going get the tt add an amp harness and look it over, tape em up. No sense getting speed wire since we paying $74 for the connectors and 12' 18gauge wiring. Gonna wait till I get the wire before I order the amps/speakers/sub for reasons

What kine speakers do you currently have or getting? I'm undecided at the moment

this is the harness I was thinking about, but not having it in hand and after reading the description of the harness I was still questioning it. I can only "assume" it's the male/female speaker connectors with short pass thru wiring and an added 19' pair of wiring for the sub amp connection. I was thinking of cutting the pass thru wires in half and attaching speed wire and still have that 19' pair of leads for the sub amp

CoronaTaco, r u ordering the Add a Sub harness? if so, let us know if it works
