I’m thinking 8s it is then. Unfortunately there’s not enough room to pivot the 6s at all. And that package would be bad af. I’m just one of those people that wants form and function. And i would rather piece a system together to make it unique than pay for a kit to have it the same as everyone else

Yes they are. But it doesn’t fit my case so it makes more sense to piece it together. Just buying everything separately except for the headunit (which is replaced by ridecommand headunit) comes out to a total of $1405 vs $2200. Otherwise that option would make more logistical sense to me

Ordered all of my parts but ran into a slight problem and having to modify the plan. I was going to just replace the mtx soundbar that is ran off of my ridecommand headunit with a set of 6.5” because the soundbar won’t fit with the new chopped cage. Well, the speakers throw the headunit into limp mode so having to order a small amp to run them. Other than that everything is good. Parts are piling up. Now it’s just a waiting game until i get time to work on it

From the very little I’m able to find out about the Ride Command system, it only does RCA pre-outs (which obviously can’t power speakers)
So yes, an amp would be necessary.
That being said, I’m not able to find much about it so that may be wrong

It’s a very hard system to get info on. I’ve read that the soundbar has a 100w amp built into it unless it is a ridecommand version and then it said it was powered by the headunit which led me to believe it was 100w capacity

Here’s how the buggy looks before i start this round of mods. Since we’ve talked about it enough lol. Building a chopped cage (9” lower flat top) lowered seats. Recessed roof light bar. Wake tower km8’s. Ssv works kick panel 6.5s glassing a enclosure to fit the factory doors to mount another set of 6.5s. Decided to go with the kicker pxa300.4 bridged for each set of km8’s gonna wore them up to be able to completely turn them off when i don’t want them (basically just for rednecks with paychecks type stuff) and a kicker 300.4 running four kicker 6.5s in the cab got everyday use.

Hey destin. I’m having trouble wiring the amp and was hoping you could give me some advice. On the kicker pxa300.4 I’m running four kicker km6.5, i hooked everything up and went to adjust my gain, and as i would turn it down i would lose a speaker and another would start hitting way harder. Any ideas where i may have went wrong

Are they all wired individually or did you do any series/parallel wiring?

    Hmm...
what’s the rest of the system look like

Are we getting 2 channels from the radio or 4?
If 2, do we have the amp’s fader off?
    If 4, is fader on?

If you swap the inputs around, does the same thing happen to the same speakers, or do different speakers start to change?

To be honest with you I’m not sure. There two sets of rca cables coming out of the amp i just picked one (wasn’t sure what their part prizes were). As for fader i haven’t adjusted anything except for the gain since i don’t know what any of it does

For batteries, consider a pair of GC2 instead of marine "Deep Cycle".

I would suggest reading through the manual to learn about the amp and the settings.

The manual doesn’t say a lot exactly

And I’m officially not the brightest bulb. I reread the manual and was only adjusting one gain knob. This amp has two which acts as a fader if I’m understanding it correctly
