    Well, I just got burned for the first time on something I backed. MIITO, which was an induction hot plate for single cups and bowls, just sent me an update saying they were filing for bankruptcy (or what ever the equivalent in Germany is). I paid €137 and was 1 of 6,052 backers back in June 2015. They have done great with communications, 31 updates over the last year and a half. They said the remaining money will be refunded to all backers, but the exact amount to each will be decided by the German courts. I will be surprised if I get more than $20 backs. I hope some major company buys out their idea and brings it to market in the future.

    So here I my stats to date

    1 backed that is active (it will fund)
    4 backed and waiting on product
    2 backed and received said product (happy with the items)
    1 backed, it funded, and I will never receive the product.


    Still, I have faith in Kickstarter and will continue to back projects.

    I had thought about getting that one, but on their closed Facebook page, there was an early product tester for this one that said the quality difference was like an 80s Crown Vic vs a new Porsche. That sold me and I just backed them. They're shipping the early bird ones at the beginning of April.
