Kids in an extended cab ?

    Does anyone have a extended cab tacoma that has kids, i was just wondering if there is enough room back there for children to sit. i have a dc but i am wanting to get a 2nd gen in a couple years and im wondering about the space in there whether or not to get a dc or extended cab. thanks

    I don't have any kids - but I think kids are small enough to fit back there for short trips. Hell, I've sat back there for short trips around town (I'm 5'6").

    I wouldn't put anyone back there for long trips. It's just not designed well enough and just not big enough to be 'comfortable'.

    If you plan on using your truck for long trips with the kids, then I'd definately get the double cab. Just my oppinion. Anytime my husband & I go on long trips with guests - we take his SUV.

    I have an AC also.
    For your kids I think it will be fine, but I know that everytime I have my friends, they hate to sit in the back and the passenger always has to move their seat up.
