The sink drain on my Kimbo kitchen has finally died. Does anyone know what type of drain would work to replace it? The one I had was a custom job by Kimbo that was 3D printed, I believe they use some off the shelf drain now to seal the oval sink and connect to the hose. Just want to know what part they use and whether it works better than the 3D printed custom job. Thanks!

I sanded, primed and painted the camper braces. I used simple sanding pads maybe 120 grit, then a rust primer and a rust oleum gloss enamel. I’m happy with the results, I’ll let you know if they start rusting up again.

So it's about 31in from edge of the fan to the other side and 30in from where the solar cables come out to the back of the Kimbo.

Photo tax from late November In the Eastern Sierras.

After a year and a half, the remote to the lights has kicked the bucket after being dropped one too many times. Has anyone replaced the remote without having to rewire the entire light strip?

Not sure if this is a major bummer or just a matter of buying another remote of the same kind.

    Cheers!

I went ahead and switched it out with this controller linked below. You just have cut the old one out, pretty easy. Your phone become the remote and works from outside too. Been using this one for awhile now.

Ya, my braces look wrecked...gotta touch them up soon - glad to know I'm not the only one.

I added my own sink and used the camco flexible camper drain off of Amazon, it's super small...something to check out, i've never seen the Kimbo sink drain though.

That's a cool idea - We ended up splitting the upper bed lighting and the lower kitchen/living area so we have two remotes and it is working out very well. There are two remotes and we keep the bed remote up in the bed area and the other one on the propane tank box.

Planning on switching out and redoing the lights at some point. Did you use the same housing? I'm getting some flicker in a strip or two and would be nice to split up the "rooms" too.

We did the direct replacement from Amazon but we installed (2) of them - one for over the bed and one for the kitchen/living area and it's been working out very well.

I'd recommend keeping an eye on the connections where the flickering begins...we had one smoked connection a few months after taking delivery and Kimbo send me a reel of replacement LED strip. It was ok for a while but the long run may be putting too much load on the connections between each strip of LED's...this was part of the reason to split the lights. Just my 2cents.

We did use the same housing but you need to make sure you get the two contact strip, I think the multi-color strips with four connections won't fit (didn't try it but they'd have to be stuffed into the track if they'd fit at all). Also, there are different LED's per inch so the connectors may not work across all formats - I had to use a soldering iron to modify a couple connectors for the new LED strips due to the increased LED per inch.

You guys need to slow down these space pods on re-entry or use some high temp paint. Mine seem fine. Curious if it was a powder coating issue for a few.

I on the other hand, had some major salt or mag chloride/grime build up over the past winters here in Colorado on the back. Took some elbow grease, but a fine sand pad and some aluminum polish got it back to shiny. Kimbo stripes are gone but it’s clean.

Just detailed everything and ready to get some red dirt from Moab all over it.

Hahaha, yeah this one is seriously out there. Don’t care for criticizing others but this is testing my limits… Just so many questions, the cutouts, stove behind the door, older picks had a full size office chair, shower curtain track, the list goes on…

I'll try to get a pic of it but I got some powdery substance growing on the end of the angle aluminum mounted at the edge of the mattress. Seemed odd but it's also on the cut end so it's likely raw aluminum and likely just corrosion. Still looking for another material to replace the angle aluminum pieces.

@Profloundering This link isn't coming up with anything for me... Did you just replace the wireless wall switch or replace the dimmer in the line? Do you know if the factory one is the quick connect (https://www.rvlighting.ca/en/eco-led-black-wireless-wall-switch-and-rf-controler-with-jack-plug) or just the normal dc wiring (https://www.rvlighting.ca/en/eco-led-black-wireless-wall-switch-and-rf-controler-with-lead-wires)? Thanks

There is a switch and controller, both are replaced as a unit (unless they changed the system between mine being built and yours).

The Amazon one is a direct replacement that comes as a controller and a remote - there are four small screws to attach the wires and it even comes with the screwdriver.

Look for Spightdex LED strip light dimmer or similar. Its a simple two wire controller, the color LED strips are wider and not sure they'd fit in the Kimbo channel.

    hope this helps.
