Very cool piece of equipment - saw one parked on the street in New Orleans last week - should have taken a picture. It appeared extremely well built.

Tested in the PNW and hand assembled in Washington State. A lot of in-house fabrication goes into it too. It's a solid option that's different from everything out there. Cant wait to see one in person too! I hope he got the AC option...

Wondering if some order cancellations might occur since the economy and virus concerns have hit. Thus accelerating the availability.

Not sure. I know hourly wage workers are being hit hard in some places, but doubt they can change their orders now. Hopefully the IRS will work with business owners to help them continue to pay their employees. If anything, this will probably allow Kimbo to catch up on some orders and reduce the wait time. Just hope they continue to stay healthy until all this normalizes.

I just came out of the backcountry since Wednesday and catching up on everything. Time kinda stopped out there. A bit weird coming back to all this. My school shut down till spring break and so did all the ski resorts out here. I guess it bike season now...

My daughter teaches also here in Oregon. Her school is shut down at least until April.

Just received and update from Kimbo. They did shut down for three months at the beginning of the pandemic. You can add about that much time to whatever lead time you were given.

That first picture of a Kimbo on a Taco looks like the truck bed has been removed. Is that the case?

Yep. This was a custom and I'm sure expensive job done by SherpTek. Allowed the customers to store skis outside and they installed a diesel heater on one side with the exhaust coming out the back.

Sweet! Please post pics and impressions once you get a chance. There's so few customer testimonials of these online. Also, What kinds of suspension upgrades have you made to your taco? Airbags? dakar leaf pack? any other upgrades to handle the increased load? Thanks

We will post pics. We added airbags as the initial support to get it home, but planning permanent suspension upgrades once we have actual true front/rear weight. Dobinson and Deaver are on the short list, and custom springs are a real possibility. Leaning towards a larger diameter shock, ADS possibly. Hard to decide on shocks since we don't need the high speed performance, but custom tuning could be a plus. Regearing with 5.29 is top on the list, even with just 33's.

Looking at the pics of the floor, I would say that't the case. Probably not many have been delivered at the new price - Camper flippers.

Just received an update on mine. Looks like an early January trip instead of November. I guess more time for you to build out yours so I can get some ideas. :)

Oh man, bummer! But we are happy to help with any questions that pop up for you. We ordered ours the beginning of October, and were scheduled to pick up the first week of March. It got pushed back to mid April.....then Covid hit :(

No worries. Just glad we got in when we did this past December. I think the biggest thing is just getting some of the internal measurements to plan out our kitchen build and sofa/futon. December will be a good month to break in the wood burning stove!

Some brainstorming pictures I’ve collected to help design my camper. Would like a second sleep platform for guests that can be slid away to make a sofa of sorts. Plus adds some storage underneath. As far as a kitchen goes, would like to have running water but minus an electric or foot pump or tubes to freeze, I plan on winter camping by ski resorts. Figure mounting som sort of tank for a gravity faucet would work. Could always take it down and outside too.
