Looking for something to replace it with before removing it...the search continues. There is one owner that has a big NASA logo on theirs, looks great.

Yea I’m considering throwing a mountain terrain sticker on the front. I’m sure I’d be able to find something on Etsy!

We hopped the line and brought home our Kimbo as the 2nd owners this week! #139! (Thanks, Matt! We saw you in here getting great advice and sharing that it was for sale).

How have owners been insuring their Kimbo? Are you? How much ~ per month? We got a quote from Progressive that seemed absurdly high based on what I've read on other RV forums for truck campers.

Congrats! Welcome to TW! Through Geico, I went with Foremost Insurance Company for my Travel Trailer. I'm not sure if they do Truck Campers, but you might want to check them out.

Congrats @PSERRAR! I just got a quote directly through Geico for $27 a month. I was able to finance the remaining part of my Kimbo through a local Oregon Credit Union and insurance is needed since I have to get this thing licensed apparently.

I have mine insured as an add on with Geico. $19 a month covers compressive purchase price, collision purchase price, replacement of personal effects up to 5K, and some other things. Don't know how that rates among others though.

Thought about using some masking tape and making some custom mountains with plasti-dip. Cost is minimal if you mess it up and larger coverage for way less. Just not confident on my taping skills yet.

Plasti-dip bus. Who wants to do a whole Kimbo...?

This looks awesome! I reached out to Lucid Wraps out of Denver to see if they can do a Kimbo and he said someone is coming in on January to see if it's doable. Is that you @Voltron4x4? They stated it might not be possible due to the ridges. the Wrap might now hold / last with ridges.

I have thought about it, but figured it would be pricy. If the ridges prove to be an issue, plasti-dip could work better. Jon Olsson's Audi has a pattern that would mesh well with the Kimbo lines and aluminum.

I didn't want one of these until I opened this thread.

Following up -- we also went with Geico. $23/mo. Progressive quoted us at $65/mo w/ a higher deductible, to compare. Thanks for the insight!

Checking in to see how these cradles are working for you - I didn't think I'd need to worry about flexing too much originally...however, I went hunting with my cousin last month and found ourselves playing a bit and flexed enough to lift the rear wheel off the ground forgetting about the airbags. Might be something I should reconsider before damaging the bags but wanted to check in and see what your thoughts were.

@Arctictomcat, odd question but do you know which Thetford model toilet this is? Looks like it fits like a glove in the storage box. I want to get the same one (picking up the kimbo on the 27th and want to get everything before hand). Thanks !
