Yep! That’s the plastic bed liner where it meets the metal part of the bet. Thanks for looking out.

Have the portable fridge setup with an outlet for outside use. Had to put it on the lowest battery protection setting to keep it from tripping. It would turn off but would do a quick reset and start cooling again. It was the O1 error code but had a strong battery and full 12v coming out the outlet. No biggie but will contact Iceco to figure it out. Granite is cut and ready for install at some point. Really love this piece, hard to believe what it looks like before and after being polished.

That iridescent color looks really nice. That sucker is gonna be a great heat sink too!!

I'd be real interested to hear what Iceco says about the battery protection - I almost have the sink mounted but need to get the wiring sorted out before finishing up because the goalzero is relocating to the space under the sink...now is the time to figure out if there is any complications.

Thanks! Now to bolt everything together. Still working on that planning/designing that process. Ive read it a few other times where it was happening when you directly hooked up to a battery as opposed to plugged into a car with an alternator or wall outlet. I'll reach out but fine with this setting if it needs to stay. Looking forward to the new kitchen layout.

You hear anything back from ICECO? Got the wiring about finished up, plugged in my fridge with just the 12v from the goalzero and it started and then choked...first time starting it up so it was in max mode from ambient temp (around 56 degrees)...maybe it's too much draw when starting for the first time? Dunno but it's running today on 110v and then I'll switch over to 12v and see what happens.

Complete rewire was in order - now to try and fit the insulation panels back on.

Loose wire is power for sink water pump, had to relay because the switch on the faucet was too low amperage to handle the pump directly.

Need to reach back out, but I believe it is working just fine. We were texting back and forth and then towards the end of the day they stopped.

The battery protection can be set higher if running on ECO mode. On MAX the 7+amp draw was tripping it. When plugged into the wall socket, MAX worked just fine. Thinking about it now, I may need to increase the fuse size to a 10amp since I only had a 7amp. Don't know if that will make a difference though.

Finished all my connections so it can be run in or outside the camper, in the truck with the cig adaptor or plugged up to the wall socket. It's pretty neat to now have an socket I can plug into for anything else 12V too, maybe some string lighting.

Quick tip: be careful when vacuuming the gray fabric attached to the insulation - a shop vac will pull the material right off of the insulation.

Pro-tip: A small handheld dust broom/brush cleans off dry debris very well and leave a smooth patterns on the fabric (similar to the pattern left when mowing the lawn)

Just a heads up to anyone in the Puget Sound region - Griot's Garage is having a NW adventure vehicle meetup this Saturday in Tacoma. Sherptek is going to be on hand if anyone is interested in looking at their systems.

I plan to be there for a bit too, let me know and we'll coordinate.

Looking into bumping up the solar as a 'next on the list' - did you ever get your SOK battery?

Yep, its been great. The 200AH has given us plenty and should be perfect when we run the heater in the winter more. Quality is great and cant beat the price.

I wasn't going to say anything, but, darn, I can't help myself. That thing looks like a crime against nature. An abomination.

    Damn I just missed this.

Would have liked to see the sherptek stuff (thinking about it) and your kimbo in person!

I'm guessing this event in May is different:

Congratulations Romesco on the Kimbo order - great to have you here! the Kimbo is very much worth the wait. I didn't see any details on the May 8th event but I'll keep an eye on it...my wife missed the last one also and was very disappointed.

What options (if any) did you go with?

Yeah, I have heard one other person that had an issue with the aesthetics of the Kimbo - and thank God we still live in a free country where, even being the minority, one is still entitled to their own opinion - but there are other options out there that still maintain the traditional way of constructing campers...one just has to look on the side of the freeway in almost any decent size city these days for an example of how those hold up. Wishing you the best.

    Thanks Profloundering!

I'm doing the Propane, Propane Door, Heater + Chimney.

I'm putting together a plan for electrical (and taking notes on what you all have done too)! I plan to build out a battery with a BMS and thermal monitors as well as do a custom solar array with MPPT. I'll place the orders for parts soon -- that will probably be my June assembly project while I patiently wait.

That sounds great - I used the sea blue fuseblock (I think that Voltron did as well) with a split power setup. I’m using the yeti 500x and the fridge requires a regulated power source so I’ve got half the fuse block as regulated (fridge) and half not (LED lights/propane fan/vent fan). IMHO fuses are a smart way to go.

If you haven’t already, checkout Will Prowse with DIY solar (he’ll melt your brain with options). Then on the other end of the spectrum is the quirky HOBOTECH guy.

    glad to have you here!

Congrats on your Kimbo! If you have read thru the whole thread you may already know this but the Propane heater cures and burns off the manufacturing oils and is pretty smelly the first time you use it.
