The car fax reporting the change of frame should have been a red flag to put in the work to sell it private instead.

Instead of being put in the position to take a hit because of it, a seller could spin the fresh frame to a private buyer as a plus.

Yes, but you have to provide proof to them and it takes quite a while for them to process it. I had to dispute their report about a year and a half ago. They claimed odometer rollback because some other dealership entered my VIN when they serviced a different vehicle.

    4 run, 2 don't
At that mileage, with a new frame, it would have been an easy sale.

I think this thread is simply one to complain on and nothing more.

Because I didn't want it sitting around. I have no room here. I have multiple cars, so does my son. Then there's there's my wifes' car and my sons live in gfs' car. Mostly I didn't want to deal with buyers. How did I get suckered? I knew what I was accepting by going this route. I'm thankful that financially the loss isn't hurting me, and I can go on with my life.

I'm letting members know that what we view as a positive here can turn out to be a negative. No rant, just passing info along. For some the monetary difference could be a deal breaker. If you think this thread is just complaining you can see yourself out, nothing for you here then.

I'm going to include the phrase "original frame" when ever I sell or trade my Tacoma.

    Nice Lexus!
