Over here in the bay area I’d say that would be listed for 6500-7500 in a private sale. Sale price would be somewhere close to those two numbers.

this is exactly the 'conundrum' i am currently investigating locally
the body panels are much thinner and perforate much easier than frame which is thicker

yet the wrecked 95.5 in the salvage yard here that had major rotted through rockers and bed area, (with a fine coat of crust on near entire frame) was a deafening solid ping ping ping on the parts I could reach with the hammer with a force NO used lot seller would ever allow me to do to their truck for sale

definitely weird stuff going on that makes no sense

the salvage yard still has a '98 and and 'o1 that I have not yet ventured out to inspect

i recently looked under my plastic liner for the first time in 22yrs! and was BTE (better than expected) even with the bed being piled high with snow and ice over decades of winters.
I was getting frustrated with touch-up paint being no longer effective on the back part where over-the-rail edge was rubbing all the time and starting to oxidize with a few other areas on the bed floor where the plastic liner ended. It was either a estimated $4k paint job the whole back end and restripe or a Line-X spray-in that I had not really ever heard of being available until the past couple years probably.

i was told the reason why my bed had no perforations after +2 decades is because I had never removed the liner and any oxidation that started on the bare Toyota steel was continuously rubbed off again and again and again...

found this critter below festering underneath trying to grow and make its own dirt (accumulation of neighbors cotton tree seeds)

i probably should have opted for a bed mat instead of drop-in liner but thought it best to protect my rails from constant loading and unloading of tools and stuff reaching over the side but I guess I will never know if that was the smart choice or not, the plastic liner did rub the heck out of them
