They definitely do - if you recently won the lottery...

OP to answer your question, the lower end looks the same to me as the 2.5s so it might work. But I dont have any direct experience with them. I know there are one or two folks on here running them.

Interesting, looking at the pics of that kit I dont see any threads for preload adjustment like all the common 2.5s have

Edit: I see now its adjustable on the bottom end of the shock under the coil. Interesting

I don’t think accutune or headstrong sell a King 3.0 for a Tacoma. I see a King 3.0 OEM replacement shock sold on 4wheelparts, but when I google the part number I get hits for Fords.

    https://www.4wheelparts.com/p/king-...oir-coil-overs-33001-207a/_/R-FBJG-33001-207A

I could not find anything useful on King’s site.

In any case, I personally see no reason to put 3.0’s on a Taco unless you are building a long travel race truck and in that case you should already know the answer to the question

with the cost difference from the 2.5’s to the 3.0’s and no additional travel/lift it sure doesn’t make sense to me.

In any case, I believe even the 2.5s require a UCA and sway bar relocation kit due to the increased outer spring diameter. I’m not 100% sure because my kit came with both.

I’m not even planning to build a race truck, I just want to be somewhat different and I like the beefier look of the front and rear 3.0s, and if I do plan on doing long travel I can keep using those until I can no longer rebuild them

I don’t think OEM spec shocks work with long travel kits unless you are willing to give up travel.

I suggest asking your questions in the long travel form. You are getting into race truck territory and not many people in this forum take if that far.

I understand, I have the UCA’s, the diff drop kit, the add a leaf already installed on a 3 inch level. I just wanna know can I slap those shocks in place, or will I need to get something extra? Im trying not to do any sort of major cutting to my vehicle besides mounting the external reservoirs. I just want to do this correctly and once and not eff up my truck.

Also, it would help if you told us the part number and/or linked the shocks you are talking about. Otherwise we are left making assumptions.

Im telling you 33001-209A is the part number. Google it... You'll see Downsouth, SDHQ, Filthy, Poly Performance, etc selling them for Tacos.

I think the idea behind the larger diameter and finned resi is heat dissipation and much larger oil capacity for extended high-speed type of stuff. Soooo realistically most folks wont see any benefit from them

That doesn’t mean the OP is talking about that part number. There are also universal fit king 3.0s. I believe you made an assumption?

I know that they make King 3.0s for the 2016+ Tacomas, I’m not worried about that part. Will the ones made for the Tacoma fit on the stand Lower Control Arms/ Stock Length or not. If so do I have to do ANYTHING ELSE besides drilling holes to mount the external reservoirs?? P.S. I have the 3 inch lift level, done correctly, dropped diff, added uniball UCA’s (Element Hard Parts) for the front. Rear did the ICON add-a-leaf. All in all I could care less ab the rear. I just wanna know about the front.
