Tried today but could not adjust the preload on my damn king 2.5” extended travel coilovers with 700lbs springs on my second gen to save my life. Used silicon lube. Tried mounted On the truck, bottom bolt only undone, top bolts only undone, off the truck with a vice, all using a Fox coilover adjustment tool after loosening and also tried removing the Allen bolt. Gah!:frusty:

Anybody know a good off-road shop that works on Tacomas or a fellow TW member within 1000 miles of Milwaukee? I will fucking drive to someone who knows what they are doing. I have had no luck with the few shops in Wisconsin I have already tried. They scratched their heads, didn’t know what I was talking about, but would try. I said thanks but no thanks.

    Anybody?

Ive played this game twice now in Chicago. Bought my kings slightly used and pretty much everything is stuck. Top hat isnt coming off. Thread collar is pretty beat up. Threads are so rough the collar doesn't spin. It took 4 guys (two people wrenching on a spring compressor and two people wrenching on the top collar) to get just 10 threads down the shock. Also not really sure what to do but I feel your pain
