    Posted this in the suspension page but no response. I had the king 2.5 extended travel with adjustable reservoirs installed on my ‘09 taco TRD OR about 6 months ago. The guy that installed them was recommended to me by a coworker and was said to have a decent working knowledge on Toyotas. When he installed them he had to set the fronts’ collar all the way down just to get the front close to level with the rear. For background I have an ARB front bumper with winch. I ordered them from Accu-tune and they were fully aware of my front and rear loads. To be honest the ride is rougher than I was expecting compared to what I’ve read in other reviews. The adjusters are set to fill soft as well. I’m wondering if the fronts are just extended too much and the spring is under too much pre-load. Also the reads are king adjustables matching the front, only difference is the leaf spring pack which I bought with my OME kit years ago. They were said to be the leaf springs for vehicles without much weight on the rear. Curious if anyone has taken measurements from the fender to the center of the hub for the front and rear with a similar setup. I’m wondering if the rear is so high because of the leaf pack. The kit didn’t seem to give me too much of a lift compared to my OME set, but that could be an illusion due tosmaller tires than I’ve seen on trucks with similar sets.

    If you ordered the parts from AccuTune, have you tried calling them about it yet to discuss? They are quite knowledgeable and will support the things they sell.

    What are your current hub to fender measurements? What are the front King shock measurements, aka shock length at ride height, spring length at ride height? Do you know which weight springs you are running up front? Could be preloaded too much and hitting coil bind but we have no way to know without more info.

    IIRC, for 2nd gen OffRoad stock hub to fender measurements are something like 21" front 22" rear (don't quote me on that, never got to measure my own and reports vary by + or - 0.5" from what I read). You can compare to your measurements and understand how much lift you have now. Might help illuminate the problem.

    2nd gen stock center of hub to fender is around 20" front/22" rear. IIRC the stock rake was about 1.75" I've got ext travel 2.5 rr coilovers/2.5 rr shocks with the weight of a canopy. Front coilover's are at factory height setting/ rear has the rxt leaf pack at option 2. After 2 years center of hub to fender measurements are 22" front/ 24" rear. Truck has a 2" rake now... looking forward to the rear dropping another 1/4" to get back to factory rake of 1.75". Sounds to me your front is preloaded too much... if your set on the level look maybe go back to the factory height setting up front and adjust the rear to match. Also, make sure the coils are correct for the weight you've got.

    How much lift do you have? Front and rear. Keep the front lift below 3”.

    The line “all the way down”. Post a picture of your Kings thread adjuster. I added about 3-4 complete rotations to the King factory setting on 600 pound springs. This gives me just below 3” lift. I have a 1/4 spacer on the driver side.
