King Extended Travel Fronts w/Camburg UCA's

    Whats happening,
    We have come up with an extended travel King replacement front coil-over
    shock part # 25001-151-EXT (Its our internal Part #). It will add a little bit of droop travel when used in conjunction with an after-market UCA's.
    These extended travel Kings can only be used with an after-market Upper Control arm, not a standard factory upper control arm. The Ball joint may snap..(That's Bad)...
    We have a kit listed in our E-Bay store if any of you are interested..

    Not sure who told you that about the Fox..but no these are not replacing them.
    These King shocks are an IFP (Internal Floating Piston) with no external reservoir. Fox makes a good product and they just moved into a giant new building to help increase there production levels...No Fox IFP and External reservoir shocks for the Taco are not going anywhere...
    :)

    Both shock companies have there pro's and con's
    But most of the time it comes down to color, ha,ha...
    Fox with Black ends or Kings with Blue ends...

    Right, but you do not need the top plate?
    You just need standard 2.5" shock set for an LT kit correct?

    Top plate..im assuming you mean the mount to bolt the CO to the stock bucket? Yes i will need that..

    That is what I was asking...I wanted to see if you needed the shock to bolt into the stock location or if you were fabing brackets to mount a standard coil-over shock.
    So you would need a King or an ICON or a Fox to be built for the LT kit.
    I know that King and ICON and Fox all have specific part #'s for for use on most of the LT kits. Who's LT kit is is? What brand?

    Not totally sure yet. Either Camburg or Total Chaos..possible a custom one tho.

    But if i can find a Camburg kit for a good price thats what ill end up with i think. How are they different kit to kit?

    I am more curious about the valving and spring rate then brand at the moment tho..

    What motor?
    Valving will depend on how you plan to drive it?
    Mainly street or actually drive it off road or both..
    Would you rather have it drive well on the street or better for off road?

    well there is that, but my rig is a bit different then most.

    I have a V6, Plate bumper and will be adding a winch and heavy duty custom skids made from 3/16s for the front 2 and 1/4'' for the belly pan.

    I don't really plan on using it for baja stuff as my rig is more of an expo trail rig, but i want the droop and better articulation of LT.

    I would like to have it do better offroad, but still be nice to drive on the highway at least.
