So where does a guy source some horns like those?

Two great uses for this would be: 1. Stupid drivers around here who pull out in front of you and cut you off, and 2. To blast people when you can clearly see they are texting and not even looking at where they are going.

You clearly live in a state that does not allow weapons. Stopping in traffic to go back to a truck in my state would most likely get you staring down a barrel...

Is this legal? I can see the fun police not seeing a lot of humor in this.

This is well worth it to get these idiots off their phones while driving. Neighbor has his mounted on the roof of his RAM. Cops have pulled him over already without even hearing them.
Incognito is the way to go. You gonna conceal/finish with painting plate?

In most states, using an air horn within city limit is illegal, just for those asking. That said...

I've contemplated this a few times myself, but I'm afraid it would be too tempting for me and I would get myself in trouble with it.

I find myself thinking like this occasionally when I see a kid doing something I think is stupid. Then I try to remind myself how much fun I had at that age, compared to now. Maybe they are on to something...

This would be so handy in the DC area. Drivers around here are OBLIVIOUS. I've toyed with the idea of adding a tank and horns. I already have a compressor.

Respect your opinion, but I’m 180 degrees different in my opinion.

Like I said. Going to catch a shitstorm, but if this was used appropriately and not in traffic I don’t see an issue

i believe that stopping traffic and voicing your opinion puts everyone in danger - i think the cops will frown upon that as well.

Point taken, it was more of a figure of speech. This stuff is all fun as long as it isn’t used with average citizens

Uh oh! The internet morality armchair police are out again, making judgements on speculated situations that haven't actually happened yet!

This is like the "How Do I Turn Off My Seatbelt Chime?" thread, how many people say "buckle up, you're an idiot if you don't wear a seatbelt" is ridiculous.

Let's just assume OP isn't going to be an asshole to strangers, and in turn, no strangers are going to be shot on the freeway during a train horn argument.

No. Train horns are illegal everywhere as they're too loud to a point it's dangerous. Truck air horns are legal if they are on a vehicle that has air brakes (in California at least)

98% of blasting is friendly fire. It’s far funnier to make your buddies poop there pants than strangers.

Some other good uses are to alert other drivers off road of danger situations. I had a friend with a ford truck with a 460 that had around 600 horsepower. The trans leaked and caught fire. Was able to get his attention while he was full throttle, stopped truck and put fire out, in glamis. I’ve warned a couple friends and averted roll overs also. This was back before ham or race radios were readily available. CB’s were hit and miss for good communication, usually from neglect or trail damage.
