Hammertown map is up, it looks like most of the usual suspects will be back this year.

Drove it to work today... It was uneventful. Still goes when it's supposed to go and stops when it's supposed to stop. And nothing fell off, so that was a bonus.

We're sending a couple folks there this year with a booth next to COBB in the overland experience area just outside of HammerTown - feel free to stop by and say hi!

It’s gonna be as cold as you can imagine. And dusty as fuck if you are near hammer town.

You'll want to camp at least a mile from Hammertown. People party all night and race teams are up early so it never gets quiet.

It looks like it could rain on Monday which is going to suck for people setting up booths.

Got to within .7 miles of the smog shop yesterday with no check engine light. (I'm not joking, it was .7 miles away). I could see the shop... aaaaaaannnnd.... Check Engine light came back on.

This time it's the Transmission Temperature Sensor malfunction.

    Fuck smog :frusty:

Amen to that. I wasted a bunch of time getting smogged last year. At least it's not something serious!

Ya... it's nothing serious, but it's a pain in the ass.

You or Larry are going to have to stay behind me on the way to Hammers because I may still not have tags. Fees have been paid, smog will have been passed by then, but I'm running out of time to be waiting for the sticker to arrive.

My shit says May of 2023 :anonymous:

Sucks that your vehicle is out of state and unable to be smogged right now until you bring it back this summer.....

Ya, the problem is... You're right, if fees are paid and smog complete it would make that part ok.

    BUT

If I'm already pulled over, I'm not getting out without a fix it ticket for tires sticking out too far, tinted side windows, no front license plate, lights where I'm not supposed to have lights, etc, etc, etc, etc, etc, etc.

    Lol

The DMV by my house has a vending machine that lets you pay and get your tags instantly. If you're a AAA member you can also pay your registration there and get tags on the spot.

I've got your 6 on the way down so no worries either way.
