King of the Hammers is coming up quickly. Races take place all week.

If you have never been, I highly suggest you go. I'll be up there 2/9 Thursday afternoon and spending the night to watch the main race on Friday. The spectator areas in the canyons are the best. It's almost like stadium seating as trucks flip, driver over each other and climb rocks the size of your house while racing to the finish.

You can camp anywhere on the lake bed for free. RV's, tents, whatever you want to sleep in. Keep in mind that it's usually freezing at night. Last year the temperature was under 20* at night.

A $20 donation will be requested at the gate but that covers the entire week. If you don't have the money they'll still let you in but you will not be allowed into the gated area of the pits.

If anyone is interested in a caravan I'll be leaving Fontana on 2/9, Thursday around 12pm.
