If the schedule stays the same as it has in the past, the Everyman Challenge should be on Wed 2/5 the Race of Kings will be on Saturday 2/8

I'm thinking we'll leave Tues 2/4 or Wed 2/5 and return home Sunday 2/9.

We will (most likely) be headed down Tuesday (2/4/25) and returning Sunday (2/9/25).
Plan B would be head down Wednesday (2/5/25) and return Sunday (2/9/25).

    Plan is to camp here.

    Black way point is Hammertown
Red way point is where we intend to camp at 34.43752, -116.49288

    HAM freq 146.460

Here's a better representation of how close camp is to the action.

It is very unlikely this camp spot would end up part of the race course, which is really the only reason why we would move... (Other than some Latte drinking moron with a man bun sleeping in his Tahoe at that exact spot, which is what happened last year lol)

    Also, @10YSON, @Blue Canary, @essjay, @etc, etc, etc

Let's plan a trip down to Johnson Valley in the fall. Maybe get down there so we can do some of the stuff without having to worry about getting run over by someone.

Maybe others can chime in... is November a good time to head down where it would be relatively quiet, but not overwhelmingly hot? November is normally a decent time to hit up Death Valley, I'd imagine Johnson is much the same climate.

I'm down for a trip in the fall, November works great for my schedule. Historic weather says highs in the low 80s so it's not too warm, typical desert overnight lows.

I might be climbing in Bishop the weekend before KOH. If the climbing trip firms up I'll be able to go grab that campsite on Monday since I'll already be 50% of the way to JV.

Matt - do you think we'll get another season out of that storage tent? If we need a new one LMK and I'll buy the next one.

It's still holding up. Unbelievably, I don't think it actually took any damage in the wind out there this year.

How does Veterans Day weekend work for everyone? I can't do the weekend of 11/2-11/3 otherwise I'm good to go for whatever the group votes on.

Might be able to swing that. More of a question of how the bank account is looking at that point than the actual dates, I think.

I have an extra seat, you're welcome to just roll with me. I have the tendency to get lost so it's always nice to have a navigator.
