This Toyota definitely impressed the crowd, killing the trail and all those winchers.

It was a great week! After 1000 miles of highway driving and a week on the lakebed all the truck needed was gas. I'd love to get another desert trip in before work gets busy again.

I didn't make the lake bed but watched every minute of coverage. It did not disappoint! The coverage is what makes it hard to commit to the drive.

That UTV-ish that probably would have came in second for Race of Kings but had their frame snap in that downhill section. Oof.

I was not able to finish Tacoma in time, used Tundra for driving/camping this year. We need to set a marked TW camp next time.

I went to last year’s rock and did see another truck and an xterra, there was a white Tacoma there but the spot looked empty. So I jest kept going towards the sand.

Thanks for navigating and making sure I didn't run over any UTVs.

Next year I'l bring a large flag or banner to hang on the rock and a few solar landscape lights so that everyone knows it's our camp. I'll definitely be camping in that shift pod again so that can be a landmark too.

how was the Pod? For times when we are locked into the same spot for a couple of days, it seems like a good option for 1 or 2 people.

I loved it. It's perfect for trips like KOH. I have the mini 3.0 and thats perfect for one person, it might be kinda cozy for two unless you're sharing a mattress. I didn't get cold once all week. 10/10 would recommend.

:) The iKamper Skycamp Mini is great for one and ok for two. It also is 10" wider than the bed, which is where we were before. We have the REI Kingdome, 10X10, but it's a bitch to put up. Plenty of space though.

Yaaaa I didn't want to risk setting up by a random campsite so I ended up bouncing around the area and found another friend to camp with. The sandy entrance was a fun surprise, rear end started to bury itself, just let the v8 eat and launched off weeee
