Recently purchased some lightly used (3xxx miles) King rear shocks from a fellow tacomaworld member. Model is the extended versions with compression adjusters.

Previously had a wheeler’s progressive aal with 5160’s in the rear. Swapped the 5160’s out with the Kings, and absolutely love them.

Though the 5160’s did their job for the past 5 years, the Kings are on a completely different level. Haven’t been off-road with them yet, but after 200 miles of daily commuting the upgrade in comfort and performance are definitely noticeable.

Bumps are a lot less harsh, body roll has been greatly reduced, and the rear end just feels more controlled and connected to the road. Compression adjusters are set at 10 clicks above the softest setting, but will play around with different settings after more driving and some off-road experience.

Looking to replace my 6112’s up front with some King coilovers in the near future. For now, feels like I fell in love with my truck all over again.

You're going to love having King coilovers up front and you don't even need to go off road to have fun. You'll start seeking out speed bumps and speed humps at every opportunity
Ask me how I know lol :anonymous:
