    As far as I'm aware you gain 1" more of down travel with extended.
    I'm currently running extended kings

    I have the ext adjustable as well. I was told all the new ones are ext length and the ext part number is going away. Maybe someone can chime in on that

    IMO Buy from @AccuTune Offroad will help you through the process. Tune shocks to your rig’s weight. Couldn’t be happier over here.
    Good Luck

    This was what was told to me. The “extended” has a longer bottom “post”. This gives you ~1” more potential lift without the corresponding preload. Overall King travel does not change. If you want 2-3 inches of lift recommend the “extended”.

    IMO regardless keep lift within king specs Accutune has great specs to follow. 2” keeping components happy. My cv fins are not touching

    I'm curious, who told you this?

    @Elgordo_con_la_tacoma
    "Extended Length" or -EXT on King shock part numbers refers to the total extended length of the shock. The -EXT shocks have a longer extended length than a non-EXT shock does, which allows the shocks to be sitting at a taller lift while maintaining adequate up/down travel. For Tacoma coilovers specifically (25001-119, 25001-119-EXT with or without adjusters), the only difference btw the extended travel and non extended is an internal spacer limiting the extended length. This is NOT the case with all King shocks.
