Hey guys just looking for some suggestions. I just lifted my 2016 Toyota Tacoma I put King coilovers on the front and King shocks on the back. I did the add a leaf pack to balance the truck out. The ride is now super stiff and becoming uncomfortable. I love the way everything looks but just looking for some suggestions on how to make the ride a little softer. I'm missing my OEM shocks and how smooth my ride was. I've also put KO2 285/70 on it as well. PLEASE HELP? Kinda new at all this...

What is your spring rate up front? What leaf pack did you go with? Do you have adjusters on the shocks?

    Stuff, things, this, an ADS
Take a pic of your preload on your fronts. Also what’s your spring rate? You might need to take some of the preload out

@Ravnikar610 they are not adjustable King shocks unfortunately and I attached a picture of the leaf pack and my whole entire set up.

@El Duderino the lighting is so bad right now because it's night time. I'm going to take a picture in the morning when I wake up. I'm curious to see how you are able to calculate the spring rate. I just wanted a higher lift. I'm thinking maybe I cranked the shocks down too much.

What PSI are yoi running in your tires? I’m assuming they’re LT (load E) and if there’s too much air in them, your truck will ride like a dump truck.

The coilovers spring rate is printed in white on the coil.

^ my guess is preload and tire rating like most said. When I went from C load to E load, I could tell a huge difference in lost of ride quality. I can feel the road quite a bit more. Tried lowering the PSI and that helped a little but missed having C load on my daily driver. I didn’t want to dump more money into tires again so I’ve learned to deal with it until I need to change them out. Some may say E load is overkill for our trucks but the benefit of it is being able to air it down more for sidewall traction while off-roading. Just depends on how you use it.

I think the OEM kings and the extended travel set are going to ride a lot differently. The OEM set that I’ve rode in were very plush.. but it’s my understanding that the extended travel set would be for high speed Baja style off-roading. That means they won’t get smooth until you pick up the speed as they can’t be set up to travel at high speeds in the desert and be comfortable going 25 on potholes and seams . It’s a give and take like most things ... how is the setup when traveling at interstate speeds ? Does it smooth out any ?

A single add a leaf, is going to be a lot stiffer, than a 3 leaf progressive.

I have the same shocks and the standard spring rate is 600 which as said above is printed on the spring. The keeper ring on my front coil overs is turn down about 3 threads. As said above, if tires are E load rated they will be hard as a rock. I had E rated tires and went to a C rated tire and it made all the difference. If your tire are new it is possible seller may swap them out for you. Discount Tire did it for me but it took some arguing. Not sure what you have going on with rear suspension.

Also your suspension will soften some over time.

Way to much pre load on those. These are mine with 650's set at 2.5 inches of lift.

I had this same problem and ended up going through the mistake of thinking it was my suspension, probably changing it 4 times like an idiot.

I went to C-rated tires and got rid of all forms of preload, solved the issue. It was 90% the fault of 10-ply tires on a stock-ish truck with no armor.

Those are standard 600 springs. When I didn’t have any weight in the front with 8-9 threads showing, it was pretty close to 2.5” of lift which Kings recommends not going any higher than 2.5”. Looks like you have 12-13 threads showing.

@runmc they are E load.... daaaaamn. Thank you for the info . once these tires were down which is probably going to be a while because they pretty new but used. I will see if I can step down to a c load hopefully it'll soften my ride.
