Thanks for the info. So even with slow speed valving, digressive valving will knock your fillings out over speed bumps and such? Flamboyant exit. LOL.

    ...too much shit to list.
Once again, subjective. I personally will never go to a digressive valving setup on any of my trucks. If I ever get back into road racing, different story. But simply put, a digressive shock will have more inital dampening at slow shaft speeds and will gradually smooth out as the shaft speed increases.

Yup, exactly, it's not simply not simple to talk about whether someone should have progressive or digressive shocks. It's a personal choice. I really like the Fox 2.5's on a truck almost the same as mine, so that's what I'm going with.

I'm going back and forth between progressive/digressive. I guess I should ride in each of those setups and see how they influence the ride characteristics. I want to buy once.

This. BTW unless you are doing something extreme I'm guessing at worst you may make a few spring changes and pressure changes, but almost any 2.5" shock should work for the average weekend warrior.

Ugh, I got a little speed out at Prairie City a couple weeks back (basically Vans Skate Park for trucks) just about rattled the damn fillings out of my teeth. HORRIBLE. Part of me wants to go buy a cheap mid travel setup, but I know how deep that rabbit hole can be, while the larger part of me just keeps saying to the other part, "STFU we're almost to LT time." (With kings btw :D)

    Working on it now....UNDER CONSTRUCTION
I have to agree with the performance difference with my Fox Shocks with the Dakar leaf pack compared to factory. Huge difference! With the factory setup I would hit bumps on the road and it was ridiculous. Now it just goes over bumps like it is not even there. I have minimal body roll in turns. Keep in mind that the tires help too. My tire pressure is at 34 now. The sweet spot seems to be 36 for tire pressure.

I am just going to throw my honest opinion out there. I had the OME kit w/ 885s (later changed to 886s) and Dakars for about 19,000 miles I would say. got the itch to blow a load and get the Icon extended travel with rear resi and 700lb coils (I have bumper, winch skids, sliders etc) I can honestly say that everyday ride quality was much smoother with the OME kit and even a week after having the Icons my father was riding with me and asked me if I changed my suspension cause it was much stiffer. That alone confirmed to me what I was already thinking in my head. For the money the OME kit can't be beat and I will prob go back to it in the future since it fits MY NEEDS whenever it comes time to rebuild these Icons. Just my $.02 I think you will be perfectly happy and so will your bank account if you go with the OME.

Yes, I haven't updated the profile yet. I'll be mulling over exactly what to do as I gather the cash together. I'll have to live with the stock stuff for a while longer. I can't see rushing into something like this without thinking it through. Thanks for the input.

They aren't really too worn to keep using it's just that some days they really bother me depending on the road I'm on. You're right though. Doing something right the first time is the way to go. I will most probably hang out for a couple more months while I get the cash together to do it right. Man, those Kings are pricey and when it comes down to it WAY overkill for my application but I'll probably do it anyway. I'll be keeping this taco for aa long, long time. I'm guessing that the Kings are probably better for my purposes than the ICON's.

Had more drive time with my Fox to compare with my previous Icons.

The Fox are indeed smoother, more body roll (I don't have the front bar/link). Haven't driven hard just regular street.

I prefer the ride quality of the Fox but they take some getting used to as it doesn't keep the truck as "planted" when initiating a turn. Doesn't seem to affect grip or anything as I still can still take hwy entrance/exit quite fast for a truck.

I have zero of the experience/knowledge that jberry has, but I just wanna say Icons arent really that rough on road, and they are very nice offroad.
