    Go with fox or kings. I went with Fox and love them. If you go extended travel you will need uca's

    No plans to go long travel I just want something that is built well and will ride really nice and soak up the bumps and crappy roads plus make the fire roads more comfortable. The stock TRD shocks are valved way to stiff without anything in the bed of the truck

    Long travel is different from mid or extended travel. Extended travel coilovers are a little bit longer than mid travel and give a little extra droop but require upper control arms

    We see nothing but complaints about Icons on the forums, it's probably one of the worst shock companies out there. They aren't a premium brand but also charge premium prices and get most of their sales through marketing and their one-stop-shop of overpriced stage kits. Icons are also a digressive unlike Fox and King which are progressive or linear which offer superior offroad comfort and performance. Digressive shocks are more suited for street driving.

    Regarding extended travel, all it is is a washer inside the shock that's removed that allows 1/2" more of travel, that's all, not really even worth except to people who want to tell others they have extended travel.

    @JoeCOVA
    So if you were to put together a kit from King for stock ride height and a 2WD Truck would Accutune be a good place to call and have them put something together for me or wondering if anyone in AZ has a solid recommendation that’s closer to me.

    If for DD get a progressive valve shocks like kings, or fox. Just switched from fox to icons and I prefer the fox so far. Also call ads, they are in tucson.

    Thank You to ACCUTUNE - I placed my order today with them and it was super easy.

    We decided on doing the Fox 2.5 Coilovers w/res on the front and 2.0 res on the rear

    Worst shock companies !?

    That’s the problem with taking advice sometimes on the forums. People mostly start threads about problematic issues, and not coming here to give credit when it’s due.

    I started out with a pair of used Donahoe Coilovers back in the day on my ‘06 Tacoma. Great product and when I sold it they were still running strong. Firmed up the ride and handled everything I could throw at it. And now I have Icon Extended Reservoir Coilovers with their Delta Joint UCA.

    Very nice ride on and off road. Firm and plush all at the same time. And I would have it no other way.

    Just wait until you have to deal with their customer service. Things happens. Some people have good luck while others are bad, typically customer service can make the difference and I never see anyone bragging about it, quite the opposite.

    I’ve dealt when them a few times and always quick and accurate responses.

    I’m not sure if you have first hand experience with them. But if you haven’t, I wouldn’t start bashing and calling them one of the worst shock companies.

    But I can and many do. Glad you had a good experience as not many do. Regardless I’ll always steer people toward the best products and the best deals. Icon offers neither, period. Most people just want to defend the $1000s they overpaid
